First Day at the new College of Golf Campus…You Have to See This Place!

Monday, March 29th, 2010

While pictures cannot convey just how good the College of Golf campus is looking, these sample images should at least give an idea.  It is like going to a resort golf school and staying for 16 months…golf in college just got a lot more impressive!

The Indoor Training Area:  1500 sq ft putting green looking toward the Club Repair Lab and Simulator.

Another view of the area looking at the 4 station hitting area.  Notice the studio lighting above the V1 system and check out the  65″ flat-screens waiting to be mounted on the wall !

Similar view but this time looking across the counter of the student lounge area.

Some students working on our newly installed golf simulator.  With impressive visuals and launch monitor technology weather is no reason for delaying that practice session.

Even the classrooms look good!  Not a bad view for the middle of March.

Moving in this weekend…and man does it look sweet!

The new campus is close to complete and we plan to teach there on Monday.  Too much going on to list it all but we are ready to go and the exciting golf pieces are coming into place!

  • Southwest Greens has installed a 1500 square foot indoor green complete with fringe and 9 holes.
  • V1 Golf has set-up a 3 camera video system in one of our 4 indoor hitting stations
  • Our golf simulator is being installed this weekend – includes launch monitor and can be fully integrated with out other technology.
  • Our 3D Motion Analysis system powered by Taylor Made is being installed next week.

You need to see this place!  Come by and visit next time you are in Port St. Lucie.  Between this facility and the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance there is no excuse for not improving your game at the College of Golf.

PGA Certified Professional Brian Hughes tests out the indoor hitting nets.

NEW FACILITY FOR COLLEGE OF GOLF KEISER UNIVERSITY

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

I stopped by the new facility for College of Golf Keiser University yesterday to observe the progress of the interior construction. It looks like we will be able to move into the building in the next three weeks, if all goes well. The indoor putting green is almost finished, and Southwest Greens has done a tremendous job. Integrated Solutions is almost finished with hanging the nets and setting up the four indoor hitting stations, including one station using a 3-camera setup with V1 computer video analysis software for teaching purposes. Offices and classrooms are receiving the finishing touches, and our Club Repair Lab is ready for Mitchell Golf Equipment Company to install the most modern calibration/analysis equipment in the industry. We are anxiously awaiting installation of the Motion Analysis Technology by Taylor Made system for swing evaluation and club fitting. Additionally, the indoor training area will have a golf simulator available for student use. Three of our current students have taken advantage of the unique relationship we have with Taylor Made Golf and have ordered new sets of clubs. Students have had nothing but positive comments about the playability of the Taylor Made equipment. The PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance has welcomed the College of Golf with open arms, and our students make great use of the facility, which is open seven days a week from 8:30am-9:00pm. Students can practice all areas of their game, including putting, chipping, pitching, and the full swing. The staff and students at College of Golf Keiser University are excited about the impending move, and access to the indoor training facility will only enhance an already exceptional educational program.
